How easy is it to switch into the College of Engineering at UC Davis?

When I was applying to UC Davis, I wasn’t super sure if I wanted to go for Physics or Engineering, so I applied into the Undeclared Physical Sciences major (I went for the easier major because I’m really in love with this school and I didn’t want to risk my chances of getting in). However, after taking a semester of engineering at my high school, I’m starting to think that engineering might be a better fit for me. If I were admitted into the Undeclared Physical Sciences major in the College of Letters and Sciences, how difficult would it be for me to transfer into the College of Engineering?

It seems that it’s possible to switch into the College of Engineering if you have taken the right classes and have a high GPA: https://mae.ucdavis.edu/changing-majors/

But since Engineering is hugely impacted major, I just wanted to know if anyone has successfully made the switch.

I know of one student that successfully switched from Sociology into Computer Science but this was CS within the same school of Letters and Sciences.

I would meet with an Engineering academic advisor and ask your questions. They must have some data to indicate the success rate of changing majors.
