How easy or difficult to get classes at Sonoma State

I heard that a lot of students have a hard time getting classes they want. Is that true?

My son is considering SSU but worried that if this is a genuine problem for him - able to graduate in 4 years

When budgets were tight, that was probably somewhat true. Now, as long as you are flexible, well prepared and diligent, it shouldn’t be an issue. All the CSUs have been focusing on improving grad rates. It is certainly possible to get through in 4 years if you take a full load, don’t make a dramatic major change late in your curriculum and pay attention to course progressions and pre reqs. .
