How exactly is the new SAT scored?

<p>I think I understand CR and Math correctly, but tell me if I'm wrong:</p>

<p>CR: Raw score of all questions (+1 for correct, -1/4 for incorrect, 0 for admit) put onto a curve to generate scores 200-800</p>

<p>Math: Raw score of MC (+1, -1/4, 0 as above) + 1 point for each correct gridin, put onto a curve to generate scores 200-800</p>

<p>But how is the Writing 200-800 score done? Is the writing raw score simply the MCs (as done above, 1, -1/4, 0) plus the 0-12 for the essay, or is the essay factored in some other way?</p>

<p>The essay is 30 percent of your score, while the MC is 70 percent.</p>
