I’m not aiming for ivy league, but I’m aiming for top 50 in national schools. But I’ll send a few out to ivy leagues
So here are my stats, any tips on how to improve and HELPFUL comments are welcome
I’m only 15 in 10th grade, I’m a non-citizen but legal resident from England and I’m African american
GPA: 3.75-3.8
Weighted GPA: 4.185-4.2
PSAT: 1110/1520----(I didn’t study or anything, is this any good?? I got college letters saying it was, from good schools)
Classes: All AP and honors, I’m doing dual enrollment as well next year
Clubs: Winter track, interact club, reading Olympics, Art club (Just moved to this school will do more next year)
Sports: Track, cross country
Outside of school activities: Cashier, Volunteen, Science fairs
Unique things: I just created a club in my high school,( like a community service one not a art club or gamers club )
My dream school right now is Lehigh University, my dream ivy league is UPENN. So let me know where you think I stand and tips to improve or strengthen my transcript are welcome!
At this point, you look like a solid candidate. Especially for Lehigh. It will depend on your actual sat/act though. If you can pull a 2300+ or 34+, you will be very strong for UPenn as a URM (or any other applicant:)
It might…I’d rather see 1500, but you do what you can. Try to get all As from here on out as well. Easier said than done, I know!
The thing is, tons of kids have perfect scores, so also work on what you love to do and do it to the utmost. And think in terms of why you love these schools, realizing your feelings will change over the next 18 months. But find what makes you a good fit for them, and why they are a fit for you:). Good luck!
Sorry for the random question- but you say you are a legal resident of England. You are Black, but since you aren’t an American, is there a category for Black that doesn’t say AA/ Black? This is a sincere question.
Yeah, but honestly I’m confused on it myself. I’m technically just black, but my culture is AA since i was raised in america. I hope I clarified a little bit, but for the most part forms say AA/black.
