How Excruciating is the Memorization?

For anyone who's taken both AP/IB Biology and AP/IB History at the same time, how excruciating is the memorization?
*I mean before the curriculum change for AP Biology
I'm taking IB Biology HL and IB History HL next year, so I'm just curious. I heard it's A LOT of memorization.

What exactly are you asking for? A description of a pain spectrum from simple water-boarding all the way to electric shock while having your fingernails ripped out?

@GMTplus7‌ …Sure.

IB History is a lot of memorization but you also have to be skilled at interpreting everything. To write the essays, you have to memorize very specific facts. I ended up memorizing a lot of statistics and historian quotes. But honestly memorizing facts won’t help you if you don’t learn how to analyze the information.
