How far away do you want to go for college?

I live right next door to the college I want to go to! I just climb out my window and I’m practically at class! It’s so convenient!

Yeah, for me it’s less about the location than the school, but… Mostly I want to get out of state at least. I’ve got schools on my list anywhere from less than an hour away to a country away.

More than 3 hours minimum.
My top is 6 and a half hours by car.
Perfect.

Hawaiiboy15, I’m exactly like you. I’m from Maryland, and I’m very, very close to my family. Part of me wants to step outside of the area that I’ve lived in my entire life, but the other part of me wants to stay close to my family. Right now, I’m not entirely sure what I’m going to do. I applied to some schools in the area (Johns Hopkins, GW (safety), Georgetown) and some farther away (Northwestern, Wisconsin Madison, Yale, WashU, Tufts). I guess I’ll decide after I see where I get in!

Top choice is Brown, about 8 hours away. Next choice is Reed, all the way across the country.

I want to go as far as possible, but I don’t put too much weight on location in my college search. Yet there’s a really good school that’s 45 minutes away, and its close location definitely is a negative factor. I just want to get out of this s*** hole.

All on the East Coast except for TN.

The school I’m pretty sure I’m going to is 45 minutes to an hour away.

I didn’t really intend for that to happen. I wanted to be a little further away, but Ann Arbor is just too close to Detroit, and I really like UMich, so…

At least I have parents who won’t just drop by randomly.

I live in Texas… I want to go out of state SOOO bad. Ew, ew, staying at TX for my college life… no.

Preferably Connecticut. Yale is my dream school…

Northeast or California.

Both are very far away from where I reside (Miami, FL).

5-6 hours from NorCal -> SoCal

live in the midwest…and im going far far away to the wonderful east coast.
i can’t wait–> i cannot find a reason to stay here

I live in SoCal and I am applying to schools all on the east coast. I’m getting as far away as i can.

William and Mary - 1 hour away (My number 1!!!)
UVa - 4 hours
VT - 3 Hours

Idk, far enough away that I won’t feel like I’m at home.

I kind of wanna stay on the east coast somewhere.

The farthest west I would go is Chicago.

I always wanted to go SUPER DUPER far away but after visiting Boston University, I fell in love.

BU is like 2 hours at most from my house but I still love it. If I dont get into BU, I’m going 1-2 states away from MA.

The poor Floridian who freezes below 70 degrees wants to go to college in Massachusetts. Don’t think that will work out too great :(

Middlebury - About a 30 minute drive, lol

I’m from FL too, I really want to stay here, I don’t think I could get accustomed to the cold. I want to go to University of Miami which is only about 1.5 - 2 hours away or UF 4 hrs away
