Your chance of admission to these schools is going to be largely dependent on how much you can raise your SAT score.

Your UC GPA is very good, and your SAT score is certainly in range for UCR, UCI, and UCD. If you can up it to 2100, UCSD becomes much more reasonable (but not a sure thing), and UCLA and Berkeley are within reach but higher than a 2100 for those schools is ideal.

A higher SAT would also make University of the Pacific and Syracuse much more secure options, but at the moment you have a pretty good shot at them.

As for WashU, JHU, NW, and Caltech … your GPA and SAT are both low for those schools, so they are big reaches. Even if you can increase your SAT significantly, I’m not sure they’re quite in range for you, but if you like the schools please don’t hesitate to apply, my evaluations really don’t mean much. Oh, and for USC, your GPA seems okay, but you’ll need to up your SAT.

i actually don’t think your UCGPA is that good, But judging from the sat IIs, you’re a smart guy, i would recommend taking the SAT reasoning again. Just take a ton of practice test, and i’m sure you can get 2100+

As of right now, you have good shot at mid UCs so i would say you’re in at UCI UCR UCD UOP and probably syracuse as well, but raising your sats would really help in terms of Berkeley and LA. (i know quite a few people that’ve gotten into Berkeley with <4.0 weighted but 2200+ sats)

The rest are more of reaches due to your low gpa, you need that SATs if you’re looking to WUSTL and JHU, and being asian is definitely not helping you, but unlike the poster above, I think if you get the sats to 2200+ you actually will significantly increase your chances into those schools. (if you play your cards right)

Good luck!

You’ll definitely be in at UCR, UCI, UCD, and UoP with your GPA, and if you retake the SAT.

It all really depends on how much you raise your SAT scores. My advices is, take a lot of practice tests over summer to get that score up, then you’ll be set for a couple other of those colleges.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/954684-chance-me-ill-chance-back.html</a></p>

If you can raise your SAT to the 2000’s range then you’ll be a match for John Hopkins.

Thanks for the rates guys, for those who didn’t post a link to your chance me thread, if you ever need a chance me later, pm me the link and i’ll do my best to chance you.

Also, for the SAT reasoning, I’m taking it in October and November. So far I already raised my critical reading, so I’m hoping to hit well past 2000.

I would say you have a decent shot at some of the UC schools, but with your current SAT I score, Wash U is probably too far of a reach.

maybe try and get a few more extra-curriculars, though the problem that I see is that most of them are only 1 or 2 years.

We’ve got similar stats (Your SAT2s are higher but my ACT is higher than the equivalent to your SAT1.).

USC/Berkeley/UCLA: A no unless you can dramatically raise that SAT score.

You’re in at UCR.

UCI/UCD: You’re probably in. raise your SAT score a bit.

UCSD: In if you can raise your SAT score a bit.

@kymazing:

Yeah, I realized that. It’s mainly because xc and track were too time consuming for me, so I dropped from junior year so that I could focus on my academics.

Great ECs, just raise those SAT scores and I see you getting accepted everywhere (except maybe Caltech)

Chance me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/953055-please-chance.html</a></p>

Like everyone else said, you have to get those SATs up, and possibly your grades…
Also, one thing that is a little concerning, the “one year xc” and “2 years t and f”… I think that colleges like to see a continous dedication. Other than that, you look good!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/953745-chance-me-please-i-shall-chance-you-return.html</a></p>

haha its funny! We have kind of the exact same schedule! I just took AP BIO as a freshmen and got a 5:) but my SAT II was a 740. My teacher told me that I can get scholarships with that score. Im taking AP Chem too next year. Also a OrchDork:D All I can say is to bring up that SAT score. your chances also depend on your school. if you are the top 40s then your definitely going to all the UCs.
