I will be applying to several very selective universities (penn, dartmouth, duke, uva) as a transfer student this year and was considering retaking SAT 2s. I recently took the new SAT 1 this fall but I keep going back and forth about retaking the 2s. I have one alright score (680 on math 2c) and one bad (600 on literature). I really want to do everything I can, so at this point I am planning on retaking both exams. I just wanted some of your opinions, suggestions, comments...Thanks I'd really appreciate it.

It's hard to say. What year are you currently in college? Typically, re-taking these exams won't increase or decrease your chances; I am sure that your SAT score is weighed less as you get further into college; for, who wants to know how well you test on HS algebra when you should be at the calculus level? I mean, just take a calculus class and show them you can do it.

Good luck with everything :)!

I am a freshman and am currently taking Calc 2 and will be taking Multivariable Calc next semester
