I'm a HS senior who slacked off a little. I'm not bad by any means, I got into UCD, I and R, but I know I can do better if I transfer. I am planning on attending a CCC after HS and i was wondering how fast can I transfer to Berkeley?
I have lots of AP credits, and I would like to major in English or Philosophy; I am aiming for Law school after undergraduate.

A friend of mine did it in 1 year (3 quarters) for philosophy..

he got in on an appeal though cuz he did all his major prereqs the LAST quarter he was there.

Go to a CC on a quarter system - it'll help you fulfill your prereqs faster. Check assist.org to see what classes you have to take, and schedule your classes carefully. Two years is the standard, but if you have enough AP credits and load up on classes, you might be out sooner.

It isn't a bad idea to stick it out for two years, though. That way, when you apply, Berkeley will have more of your college grades (provided they're GOOD grades, ha) to look at. In any case, good luck!
