144 WPM for me lol
Only 118, sigh.
My S claimed he could type well over 200 WPM when tested at his middle school. I didn’t believe him. Now, I can ask him to prove it…
@1NJParent LOL there are only a select few people in this world that can type over 200…
Tell me how it goes
@MaineLonghorn Considering the average is around 40 wpm, that’s really good.
My mom was the state champion in typing in Texas in 1956. I entered the same contest but got nervous and made too many mistakes!
@MaineLonghorn Wait they have those competitions? Did they use typewriters?
In Texas, it’s UIL (University Interscholastic League). It used to be “Typing,” but now it’s “Computer Applications.” https://www.uiltexas.org/academics/academic-contests/computer-applications
I also did spelling and advanced to the state tournament but then bombed.
@MaineLonghorn Ohhh I’ve heard of UIL, I have a friend who came 9th in the state math competition for UIL this year.
I’m between 80-100. It keeps on changing.
Not very. 44 wpm. I never really improved after 9th grade.
I do speech recognition… How fast do you want to go.? . Lol ?.
I can type around 80 WPM. When I take a test, I tend to get more nervous so I make more mistakes. If I do not get nervous, I think I can type around 100 WPM.
I can type 45 wpm with my index finger (I post on CC using my cell phone). That’s the skill that’s important, right? ?
@austinmshauri 45 with one finger? dang…
I once knew someone who claimed that because they could type 70 words with 2 fingers then if they practiced they would be able to achieve 70 * 5 = 350 wpm lol
Average, 40words per minute.
I feel like it’s not that bad.
