How fast do CC classes fill up?

Specifically (if anyone has any information about it) Pasadena City College. I'm applying, but since I live in Hawaii, I'm a little concerned about classes filling up before I can meet with a counselor and pick. I'm not able to get to the area until Summer..and I'm a little concerned that I won't be able to get into any...anyone have any information that could help?

Some community colleges in california give registration priority to the international students (since they are paying 10x or so tuition compared to most ca native students). It also varies greatly from class to class. Classes that are required as GE for most majors (ex. chem, composition) fill up extremely fast while other random classes such as music theory and anthropology sometimes get canceled because of not meeting required quota.

I see… thank you:)

Fast!!!

extremely fast. getting classes is pretty competitive depending on the class. like the above user said, if its a GE requirement IE science/math/english, they will fill up quick

my solution around this was to take classes that were not so impacted then once i build up seniority over other newbies, i have an earlier registration date and i just got all the impacted classes easily with seniority :D

Apparently Very fast here, I got the last seat in one of my classes and the enrollment window had barely opened up.

thank you guys! I found out my registration date is 7/21 so I’m a little worried about getting classes…but thank you again for all your help:)

I’m going to PCC this Fall too, and my registration date is 7/22 …^_^

Oh nice!!!

ughh im going to sbcc in the fall, my registration date is 5/27 and my NIGHT econ class already filled up D: I hope I don’t get left with the ****ty professors :(
