I got my mail address the other day (staying in IV if that makes a difference) and I've heard some horror stories about how slow the mail services are at college for getting them to the students. Is it terribly slow at Northeastern or can I expect to get packages within 2 days of them arriving at campus?

I don’t have any first hand experience (I’ll be moving into IV in a week or so), but I’ve heard that the mail system is pretty good. I think you have to pick up your packages yourself, so they should be available to you as soon as the university receives them.

According to their site, after it arrives and is sorted, mail is typically delivered by the next scheduled delivery date. However, you should be careful about how mail is addressed, since this can delay how quickly it gets delivered:

It’s pretty good. Like if a package gets there during the day, they don’t send out the alert (usually) until so late in the evening that you don’t really have a chance to go get it before it closes, but then you can just get it the next day. Plus for things like Netflix when they give you a date they are pretty sure it’ll arrive on, you can go pick it up late afternoon before they send out the alert.

yeah i have never had a bad experience with resmail. I’ve almost always gotten stuff the day it arrived, a few times the next day
