How fast will I have to walk...

to get to Warren Hall from White Hall in 15 minutes?

Faster than the speed of light.

It’s doable. Try it out during the orientation week to know how fast you need to walk.

Doable even in the snow? What about from Comstock Hall to McGraw Hall? Would campus buses work with their schedules and bus stop locations?

you can definitely walk from comstock to mcgraw in 15 minutes… unless you are that slow lol

lol thanks! they just look incredibly far on the map

Don’t worry about the snow. They do a great job in making everything as accessible as possible.

From Comstock hall to McGraw is also doable in 15 mins. A note that I should make though: even though it might seem impossible to walk from one point to another the first time you try it, you would in the end get used to it and think that everything is actually not that far.

The campus buses work just like how it would be (except during some holidays obviously). Check [Home : TCAT Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit](http://www.tcatbus.com/) for the complete schedule and stop locations. Note that it would be best if you see the map to find out where every stop is.

(0.6 mi / 15 min)(1609 meters / 1 mi)(1 min / 60 sec)
= 1.073 meters / sec

You will be required to walk at least 1.073 meters per second.

lol 10 char ^

Hopefully I will make it in time

The campus map makes Cornell look very big. When you arrive here, you’ll soon discover that the campus isn’t insanely spread out. My first semester at CU I had a class in Baker followed by a class at the Vet school. Not knowing any better, I allotted 30 minutes to get there and quickly discovered I could make it in 15 :)

The buses come in handy in where you’re in a pinch (or just feeling exceptionally lazy), but I found with some routes that I could make it to my destination faster by walking than by standing around and waiting.

warren to white is not HORRIBLE. i did it all the time first semester sophomore year.

had a class in warren then one in white and then one in warren again (I KNOW. IT SUCKED.) - definitely doable in 15 min. Cut through the pass btwn Rockefeller/Big Red Barn and then walk behind Roberts. Should take you ~10-12 min max. Learn to go around the slower people.

cc102, you ever take the bus?

you’ll find that, especially when classes are changing, it is faster to walk. buses have to wait for people to cross the roads - you know, bc pedestrians always have right of way at crosswalks.

you got to walk pretty fast if you got from baker to vet in 15 minutes.

how about riley-robb hall to mcgraw? 15 minutes doable?

^That one will be quite challenging, but I still think it’s doable. Just try it out before the classes start to know how fast you need to walk.

I suggest using your bus pass for that one

Yup, if you see a bus, that would be very good decision to make. Just make sure that you don’t wait too long for a bus since the bus would have to make two relatively long stops due to pedestrians crossing the roads on your way to Dairy Bar/Riley-Robb.

if the bus doesn’t come at the time i need it how else could i get to mcgraw on time? if i don’t really want a bike is there any another option?
