How gay friendly is Jacksonville and UNF?

How gay friendly is University of North Florida, and are there numerous job opportunities for film and television majors?

UNF has plenty of resources for gay students, including an LGBT Resource Center with a full time staff. You can find their site with information about services offered and upcoming events here: [LGBT Resource Center at UNF](http://www.unf.edu/dept/lgbt/)

Jacksonville is a fairly large city, so there are plenty of job opportunities. Most of the broadcast production jobs available locally tend to be with news channels, but there are a few production companies in town to support the city’s ad agencies and sports teams. We also occasionally get movie crews filming on location in Jacksonville. Some of our alumni go on to careers with national news organizations. Sarah Walsh, a sportscaster on ESPN, was a communication major at UNF.
