How generous is AU with financial aid?

How generous is AU with financial aid?

Everything that can be known can be found in AU’s Common Data Set:

It depends what you mean by financial aid. I find the term too broad. There is need based aid, which is based on your FAFSA results and can be a combination of loans, grants and work study. Of course, you need to pay back the loans so it isn’t free money. Then there is merit based aid - AU and many other schools use merit aid to attract the high scoring applicants. Without that money, many of the higher scoring applicants wouldn’t attend AU. They have a Presidential scholarship that ranges in amount but can be up to full tuition for the very top prospective students.

With a 3.6 (unwieghted) GPA and an 1800 SAT score, I don’t think I will qualify for merit aid. It would be need based aid.
