How generous is Beloit College with financial aid for international?

Hi everyone, I am currently searching for colleges that offer generous aid for international students and I find that Beloit College is among those (111 students, $2,143,021 total) (http://thecollegematchmaker.com/65-colleges-give-generous-aid-international-students/)
My contribution is weak and I nearly need a full tuition to attend college. So, is there any chance?
SAT: 2030, i will boost it up in October
Extracurricular activities are fairly good (leader and member)
academics: class rank 8/46 and GPA 8.9/10.0

I want to have more detailed information about the generosity of Beloit College. Any personal experience?
Thanks

I can’t find detailed info about financial aid,too. But I think Beloit will meet your financial needs.

I applied as an international and received a $30,000 Presidential scholarship so I would say they can be very generous to internationals although I received merit based aid not need based aid.

Hello,
I have applied to Beloit College too and have been worried ever since if there are any chances for me. I am also an international student and I can only contribute around 10000$ every year.
My SAT is 2140 (CR+M: 1410). My GPA is 9.0/10 for grade 10 & 11 and 8.8 for grade 12. Do you think I have a chance to attend Beloit College with enough aid?
Thank you!

Did you Google the Common Data Set? I think it will tell you the average aid for internationals.

Well, I did know the average aid for internationals, which is not high enough given my family contribution. But I still apply since I have heard that there are 5 full-tuition scholarships at Beloit College. I just dont know if I will qualify for such prestigious scholarships or not.
Thank you for the advice, anyway! Good day!

@dobby97
Hi. I’m also an international student applying to Beloit with a 2170 (1440) SAT and the same GPA (9.0/10) as yours. I got $30k in scholarship and none in financial aid, leaving my COA to $26k.

As I don’t show much need, this is fairly generous to me. Regarding your situation, I think you will receive the same scholarship (or just $25k, the latter $5k was a surprise to me). Let’s hope Beloit meet your need.

Hope this help.

@lhtanh98
Thank you! That really cheers me up, you know, though I think my chance is slim. I have never known about those full-tuition-scholarship receivers, so I really don’t know if I am eligible, or if anyone has ever been awarded such scholarships.
Won’t give my hopes up, anyway!

@lhtanh98
By the way, may I ask you something? Will you be attending Beloit College now that you have been granted admission? Or are you still trying your luck else where?
Hope you don’t mind.

@dobby96
Oh of course I don’t mind, but unfortunately I’m not going to Beloit next year. It’s UA.

I wish you the best of luck.

Best of luck, too.

Just to clarify, full tuition is the cost of attending a university; it generally does not include room and board, health insurance fees, books, and miscellaneous fees. You are all aware of that?

@auntbea. Yes, I am. My family can afford room and board and other personal expenses. So if I’m lucky enough to get the full-tuition scholarship, I think I’ll be able to attend the college. :slight_smile:

Anyone applying regular decision to Beloit got their decisions? I’m worried!

@dobby97 I wish we could know the stats of the people who got the 5 full tuition scholarships!

@Komz1304, that’s exactly what I hope for. I really want to know the stats of those scholarship receivers. Though they say that the scholarship selection process is largely holistic, I believe that stats matter quite a lot too.

@dobby67 If it is largely holistic, I have a very very good shot. Because I would say my stats are average but my ECs are tremendous.

Well, then, I think you stand a good chance. I think that the process will be holistic. :smiley:

@dobby97 Did you read that somewhere or did someone tell you that or is that your guess? :smiley:

I emailed Beloit and asked about criterion for the scholarship sometime in January, and I was told that the admission comittee would look at everything: grades, essays, ECs, and so on to make a decision. They said that the process would be holistic in general.
