Does anyone have experience on how well ND treats families with two in the school at the same time? My S is going to be a Junior and my D was admitted EA/ED. Proud D but a bit nervous about the cost.

I called Financial Aid yesterday and was told it would be a few more weeks before the aid package would be sent! I think this is a little ridiculas have to wait until mid/late April before you know if you can afford to have both attend the same school.

How generous or stingy is ND Financial aid when two are enrolled at the same time?

I don’t think attending the same school matters. I know that Notre Dame gives better financial aid when you have two family members in undergraduate studies, but that might just mean that they lower the EFC more than usual.

This year since both my brother and I were going to Notre Dame, they were VERY generous. In fact, I actually declined most of the loans and work study (I already have another job).

And yes, it was because both of us were actually attending Notre Dame. Our EFC was lower because both of us were in college in general but at the bottom of the financial aid letter I received, it said something like the fact that a sibling is also attending Notre Dame was taken into consideration in the financial aid process.

I’m guessing you’ve gotten the package by now so I’m hoping that they were as generous to your family as they were to ours.
