Just curious about how good my ECs are for schools with holistic admission, such as Harvard, UCLA, etc.

-Founder of the chess club at school

-Won a math contest, got #1 in the school, #1 in the school board covering many schools across the province (Ontario). I also got national distinction and recognition from Waterloo University, which is probably the top university in Canada right now.

-Ran track and field, and cross country for 3 years. Placed in the top 10 a couple of times, so I actually was quite the runner in highschool.

-Participated in CSUNA, which is basically a kind of nations united assembly/conference, where you debate against other countries and you play as a 'country'. You focus on the issues affecting society and in general, the world, and how to solve them.

-Was on the debate team for 3 years, won a debate competition on the school team.

-Many hours volunteered in local hospitals (200+), just helping out for a good cause. I'm in the IB programme, so I'm required to do more hours of community service than the standard student.

-I ran an online marketing campaign using certain incentive offers with directed traffic to it, and made enough money from it to fund myself a trip to low-income parts of Poland to teach poor, low-class youth the English language. I think I went out of my way here to really make a difference somewhere. I'm not too well off, so we kind of have to find ways to do stuff or save up for stuff and I managed to do it all by myself. Basically, if anyone is wondering in-depth what I did, I created websites and implemented HTML code and incentive affiliate offers from certain companies. I also created directed e-mail lists and often advertised these websites. Many people would check these offers out, and I'd make some pretty good money off of it. It's kind of a tough process, but being kind of tech-savvy in the computer field and especially taking an interest into internet marketing when I was like 14 helped these things plan out.

-Was on the yearbook committee, helped plan things out, stuff like that. Kind of a minor EC though.

-Academic achievement award, gr 10, for having the highest average in the school. (It's an award though, so not really an EC).

-Theology Studies award, got it for getting 100% in Theology.

-Know 3 languages and in general, take an interest in learning them. I know English, French, and Russian. I took 4 years of French in highschool, and I learned Russian at home just because I was fascinated by the language. Read books, took free online classes, and I'm basically highly proficient/almost native speaker of it now.

Thanks guys.
