How good are the Honors Colleges?

Hello beautiful people,

I've been accepted into Temple as a President's scholar (full tuition and cash stipends). Does anyone know if this is prestigious or if there are any other benefits such as contacts, access to important people etc...?

I know that this is the first year that a multi tiered scholarship system is in place. This full tuition scholarship has made Temple a top contender in my college search, but it could still be knocked out if I made I am accepted into my many reach schools.

Also, does anyone know how good/prestigious/important the Honor colleges are? I've been accepted into the general Honors college and the Fox School of Business Honors college.

My primary concerns about going to Temple are:

1)Lower Quality Education (business school has a pretty terrible rank)

2)Poor networking and job placement compared to top 30 business schools

3)Student body-I guess this might sound arrogant, but I'll be much smarter than most of people at Temple. I would like intellectual stimulation from my peers.

So with these concerns in mind, does anyone have experience both the Fox Honors College and the main Honors college? Will being in these Honors Colleges change everything?

Thank you all for your time.

i find that a lot more of the highly intelligent people are choosing temple, instead of ivy league schools. the kid in my grade that is number one in my class is actually going to temple next year. i was really shocked and surprised. so, you obviously wont be surrounded by complete idiots, and there will be a good amount of kids just like you, you just have to look out for them.

Hmm, thanks. I have two colleges narrowed down.
