How good are these schools in engineering/STEM-related fields in general? Help!!!

Comments on these schools in engineering fields or just STEM fields in general? I’m asking only because they are not necessarily ‘known’ for these areas of concentration.

-Barnard
-Swarthmore
-Wellesley
-Williams
-Smith
-UMass Amherst
-Boston U
-UMaryland
-Bryn Mawr
-McGill

Of the first five on your list, only Swarthmore even has engineering. I don’t know if Bryn Mawr has it either. Williams is extremely strong in math and the sciences, though. @doglover803

McGill is very well known for engineering in Canada and by any US employer who hires engineers.

Of the small schools, only Swarthmore and Smith have engineering.

Within Massachusetts and surrounding states, UMass Amherst’s engineering program is known and respected. Similarly, within Maryland and on the east coast, UMaryland College Park engineering program has a good reputation.

At Barnard, you can take STEM classes at Columbia which is across the street. Barnard has its own STEM classes too.

Wellesley has engineering classes, but not an engineering major. At Wellesley, you can take STEM or engineering classes at MIT and Olin College You can also do dual degrees at both MIT and Olin. http://www.wellesley.edu/advising/classdeans/engineering#BeYehRhos4CVipDR.97
