During my freshman and sohpomore year, I had a 3.1 GPA. Junior year i got my act together and got a 4.0. Averagin those out you get approx 3.3.

My question is would colleges prefer a kid who consistantly gets a 3.3 GPA every year, or do they prefer that great sign of improvement.?

It works to your advantage .... depending on the colleges you apply.....

It shows that you are a late boomer..... a kid who consistently earns 3.3 for 4 straight years does not show POTENTIAL as a oppose to a kid gpa that shot up to 4.0 junior/senior year ......

So, I've got a question here to, say I had a 3.33 Freshman year, and then a 3.6/3.9 Junior year, and a 4.0 Senior year, I'm assuming that would look better than someone who maintained somewhere in between, I'm just uncertain about the way colleges look at rising trends....

i hope so
i had a 94.14 freshman year, 98.20 sophomore, and 103.71 junior, so that would help me a lot. I also moved up class rank from 88th to 55th to 38th.
