How good is a Statistics Major?

<p>I am planning to major in Statistics because I always like to work with data (creating data and then using data to make predictions). However, I do not know much about how good a degree in Statistics is. How rewarding is a Statistics degree? </p>

<p>Also, I am planning to minor in either Business or Mathematics. Which of those two minors is a better supplement to a Statistics degree. Will one lead to more job opportunities than the other?</p>

<p>If you are looking at PhD study in statistics, then some additional math courses like real analysis and proof-oriented linear algebra will be useful (perhaps other advanced math courses as well).</p>
