<p>I just received an email from Brown but I'm not sure how good their summer program is.
If you'd like to suggest other colleges or programs please give me some advice</p>
<p>Define “Good.” What are you looking for?</p>
<p>i feel like its one of those “pay us thousands of dollars to stay on our campus and have fun” i think most colleges know that summer programs YOU have to pay lots of money for arent really that competitive or great.</p>
<p>If youre a freshman or a sophomore i think its pretty great. However, if youre a junior try Cornell or Stanford.</p>
<p>Like kutup7 said, I think it’s pretty good if you’re not eligible to apply for those competitive research summer programs. Those are generally cheaper and more prestigious… but I’m attending Brown this summer since I’m a freshman and I think it’s going to be a great opportunity for me to experience living alone and maybe understand what career I might be interested in.</p>
<p>Also make sure you don’t apply somewhere because you think it’ll help your resume or increase your chances of getting into that school. Let’s say you were applying to Brown… the admissions officers might look favorably upon the fact that you spent your summer in a productive way but not specifically that you went to their summer program.</p>
