How good is CPP's engineering program?

I’ve heard that CPP’s engineering program has a very high reputation, and provides excellent job-oriented training.

I will be moving to the area of 10 mile radius to CSULB soon. My understanding is that CSULB has a decent engineering program too. My question is if it makes sense to go to CPP instead of CSULB even considering inconvience and extra costs like dorm expenses, and transportation. Is it worth, or not much difference between two schools’ programs?

Your kind opnions would be highly appreciated.

Bump... Any input, opinion, or response?

I'm not sure on CSULB's "method" for teaching, however, CPP's coursework stresses applied knowledge (emphasis on labs - hence their "learn by doing" philosophy, whereas most other schools are focused on theory education). IMO you will be more likely prepared for a real-world job if you head to CPP. CPP ranks #2 in engineering programs out of all the CSUs.

Thank you, PolarMan!

CPP has better engineering program than SDSU?

I don't think SDSU is "specialized" in that area, but CPP is building a reputation for their engineering programs, and has gotten recognition in the past recent years for it.
