I am an out of state student looking to apply as a transfer.
But if i can't get financial aid paying atleast 85% of it then there's no point of me applying. so i would like to know how generous they are to oos transfers before applying.

Don’t apply. In the best case scenario you’ll get Pell Grant and Stafford Loan.

Unless you manage to received one of the highly competitive and limited OOS waivers, you should not apply. The OOS waiver lets you pay in-state tuition, and then with scholarships, pell grant, and stafford loans, UT becomes affordable. However, if you have to pay out of state tuition, you’ll have to pay a hefty price to become a longhorn.

UT doesn’t give OOS waivers to transfer students.
