i dont know about rocketreview's math; i have rr,but i didn't go over it,because it's so boring, and i know all the stuff in there,so i didn't go over it.
Grubers,on the other hand, just taught me something today! well,it clarified some vague concepts i didn't master, which are percentage problems, percentage increase and that.
i strongly recommend grubers, because it starts out with some basics, and a 101 question test(+99/101 by the way =]) , again,i learned something new in the 2 mistakes. Arc angle is half of the thingy and that.
i believe this test will be helpful to see where ur lacking, and what not.
Get it.

First off i did read all of the chapters before the math section. I didnt like how he briefly went over the strategies but didnt tell you how to do them. For example how to figure out whether a question will take time to figure out before reading it. He really doesnt explain any math that you need to know. He just gives a list of examples.

well I think it depends on how people evalute the SAT prep book. I'm going on with RR but do not reach the chapter you say. Maybe it's boring and not helpful to me .
I think I will buy Gruber because I quickly run out of SAT book with 6 hours a day for studying. :|

The math hall of fame problems in Rocket Review are helpful.

IMO, go to your library and look at a few of the SAT prep books. See which one gives YOU the best review and understanding of the topic. If you want to, you can buy it, but if you don't have the money, just get it out from the library and keep renewing it until the SAT is finished.

How is RR boring? The author actually speaks to the reader as if he were right next to the reader. It's probably the least boring SAT book.

Gruber's was really helpful
