How good is Kaplan for SAT Prep?

I have a Kaplan Book with 8 practice tests on it, and I took one test and I got very odd scores

1850
CR (540) W (610) M (700)

This was weird to me because I took the actual SAT in November (I'm planning on taking it again is why I'm going to study) and got this official score

1810
CR (630) W (560) M (620)

I found the Kaplan practice test a lot harder than the actual SAT, and I bought a regular blue book anyway to study as well. I just wanted to know how accurate Kaplan is for practice.

By the way I'm shooting for 2150-2200

Kaplans was weird to me… math section seemed a little easy and i fluctuated between 670-750 in math (scored a770 on the real test) — but from what I think you should do so you dont get too comfortable between the way each tests are written is to alternate a practice test every day between kaplans, princeton review, blue book, and also official practice tests from the past that u can find online

btw i noticed that you seem to be going hard on this January SAT, which is in a couple of weeks, its very possible to increase your score if u go HAM – i took the october test and got a 1840(kinda the same as you), went hard and then got a 2060 in december

very possible to increase ur score to what u want if u dedicate a minimum of 4 hours a day (1 practice test really) while alternating between all the tests to get a well rounded feel

Thanks for noticing, I am trying to go all out on this one. I’ve applied to all my schools already, so this is my missing piece to the puzzle.
