I was accepted as a Economics major and I want to minor in Accounting so I can sit for the CPA.

Is the Rady School of Management Accounting program any good?

Do firms recruit econ majors with a bachelors degree or do econ majors usually go on to graduate school?

bump because I really want to know :l

All i really know is that if you want to do accounting, you should probably go to a school with an accounting degree. The accounting minor however includes the classes needed to take the CPA exam though.

Do you know if accounting firms recruit at UCSD?

Not too sure about that, but if they did, it wouldnt be much since its only a minor here. Unless you’re interested in an economics type degree with an accounting minor, UCSD wont be a good fit.

A economics degree and accounting minor seems great for me, but I’m just worried about what I’ve read and heard, which is that not many firms recruit at UCSD.
