Does anyone know how good the College of Communications is? Specifically, I'm looking to apply for Advertising/PR. Also I was wondering if it's a difficult College to apply for. I know Smeal's the most difficult out of them all, anyone know how the CoC ranks in terms of difficulty?

i dont know how difficult it is to get into but i do know it's a great program. i went up there this summer to check it out and i was very impressed. it was really great

My daughter is in the College of Communications, majoring in PR and minoring in Eng. She just got back from Study Abroad in the fall and began classes yesterday and absolutely loves her classes this semester. One of her classes is a PR class that will be very creative with a super creative prof/free spirit kind of person. She totally is into that.

I actually just got accepted into the College of Communications for Advertising/PR today! I honestly have no idea how good the college is nor how difficult, in general, it is to get in; but I have a weighted GPA of 4.01 and I got a 31 on my ACT, if that helps at all. And I'm OOS.

^^if you tell us where else you are applying, it may help....students I know who are attending PennState School of Communications chose that over Umiami, Wisconsin, etc, but were not accepted to Newhouse, Northwestern etc.....hope that gives you an idea.....

Ah, this is true. Penn State, along with IU-Bloomington, are my safety schools. Some other schools I'm applying to are NYU, USC, UCLA, UCSD, and Stanford (can you tell I really want to go to a CA school? haha).
