I am interested in engineering and wanted to know how Weinberg is ranked. Thanks.

I meant to say McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Sciences instead of Weinberg.

Overall, in the top 20 for many things. Materials Engineering is top 5 I think.

Pretty much all departments are in to the top 20-25; mat science (pioneered at NU), civil, industrial are among the best in the nation. Biomed and chemical engg are also very good (top 15). Overall, it's ranked higher than Penn, Columbia, Darmouth, and Duke but lower than Berkeley, Stanford, MIT, and CalTeach.

mat science engineering is 2nd if i didnt remember wrong
is it possible to do electrical and material engineering? wouldnt be that difficult because they have a lot of overlapping courses?

well, it's very possible if you don't mind staying longer. of course, if you have lots of APs, you may still be able to do it in 4 years. they certainly overlap in terms of math, basic science&engineering and "engineering first" requirements. i doubt they overlap much in the major courses though.
