I liked Tufts, especially because of the IR stardom it has. Also because of the campus feel … good school.

I think Tufts is underrated. They have great stats and I hear positive things about the school. Definitely good in IR and for people on the pre-med path.

To me Tufts is a very good school that is currently underrated. It’s admissions stats are on par with much higher-ranked schools. Additionally, it is noted for its small class sizes and favorable reviews of professors.

Tufts was, until fairly recently, a smaller Liberal Arts school explains why its name recognition is not as high as its other peer schools. I believe as time passes Tufts reputation should rise, while it maintains its dedication to undergraduate studies.

Tufts is one of the NESCAC schools, all of which are outstanding academic institutions: Colby, Bowdoin, Bates, Trinity, Middlebury, Amherst, Williams, and I think Hamilton College in NY State are the others.

The NESCAC comprises eleven colleges. The two you missed are Wesleyan University and Connecticut College.

I heard that Tufts is a very good school…personally I didn’t really like the campus nor my tour guide nor the info session woman however I did find the eXperimental College to be an interesting concept. I do wonder however if Tufts students always feel like second fiddle to MIT and Harvard

Tufts has a long tradition of strong academics but as pointed out is not a big sports school. Tufts and Holy Cross have 2 of the best pre-med programs for non-Ivy schools. Both HC and Tufts have loyal alumni networks.

Tufts won the Div III national championship in men’s lacrosse this year.
