How good of an idea are supplements?

<p>As in, you forgot to clarify why you wanted to pick the school, and also you add in some text about your extra credit and attach this experimental but awesome visual thing you did, etc.</p>

<p>It sounds like an incredibly bad idea typed out, but in general, what's the situation with supplements sent in after the application itself? When and how makes for clutter?</p>
