I'm a senior and I'm considering applying here.
But I was just curious to see how good the science department in U of M is. I want to go to med school in the future so it's really important for me for the university to have a good, solid science program. Can anyone help me?

The school is known well for its medical school. For undergraduate, I’ve always heard great things about their preperation for those going into the medical field.

Well Michigan’s acceptance rates for getting into medical school exceed the national average. However this number is lower than schools like Harvard, Stanford, etc, where they actually weed out many of their students. Michigan does to some extent. The science program is very good here, but it could be better. If you are coming to Michigan be prepared. There is a lot of competition here. Michigan places 150-200 students into the top medical schools in the country. Its own medical school is one of the best. Alumni like Sanjay Gupta and Ben Carson… So regardless if you attend Michigan, you will be prepared for medical school.
