how great are my chances of getting in?

First off….I should let it be known I’m applying from central valley, California (not Texas like most people)

Ethnicity: White
Gender: Female
GPA: UW ~ 3.7; W ~ 4.1
Rank: ~ (25-30)/510
SAT scores: 1800 overall, 560 CR, 650 M, 590 W
ACT: 30 (I also just took it just last week)
AP: Euro History (4), English 3 (3), U.S. History (4), I’m in AP Government, Multimedia and Animation, AP English, AP Calculus, and AP Physics this year (I have pretty much taken the full set of AP courses available at my high school for the core classes I chose)

Clubs: Science Bowl (2 years), Science Olympiad (4 years), Robotics (including a qualification to World Championship in Dallas and Nationals in Omaha - 3 years), Forensics Club (also including the Forensic/Biotech program at my high school – 3 years), Leadership (4 years), CSF (California Scholarship Foundation – 4 years)

I have also put in service hours going on week-long trips to Mexico and Fresno, CA as well as being a mentor for elementary students in the AWANA program (and other church run organizations). I’ve also helped out with community outreaches and food drives.

I'm applying for an aerospace engineering major. My high school isn’t well known and neither is my district but my high school was just recently rated as the highest-performing school in the county.

if you were a Texas student, you would have automatic admission and I think that as an out of state student based on your 30 ACT score, and being in the top quarter of your class - you also qualify for automatic admission. Can you break that ACT down by the different catagories for us? You need a minimum 27 in ACT Math and 27 in ACT English to be automatic admission. Math is very important in Engineering. Your SAT Math was above the minimum requirement of 600 for Engineering, but just 650, so I cant fully give you an opinion about Aerspace Engineering.
Give us your ACT Math & ACT English scores…

I had a 29 in English, 32 in Math, 30 in Reading and 29 in Science

I would say you are good on admission to the university, but as far as the particular department it depends on how early you apply.

I would apply soon! I think you will be admitted to the College of Engineering

Good luck!
