How had is college, really?

i heard that HS , u learn AP class in 1 year

In my school...majority of APs are given in a semester, except English/Lit (because of these state tests we have to take and it messes with the actual course) and also Calculus (we actually do Calculus the first semester and the second is basically focused on mastering the AP and all kinds of prep material.)

"econ = hard???"

Yes, in so far as staying awake while the professor goes on for hours about marginal product/price/wage/ect while eliciting no response from the class and not being kind enough to develop something other than a monotone voice.

"i heard that HS , u learn AP class in 1 year

in college...1 semester"

The trick is they multiply the time you spend in class by 3, from 40 minutes or whatever you HS kids have, that way they can force feed you the same material in relatively the same amount of time.

man, i cant imagine covering those 24 chapters in my AP Chem class this last year, in a mere semester...talk about insane

Think it totally depends on the college and the major. My youngest son is working much harder in college than high school and he carried the heavier load in HS. My daughter has not had to work hard at all in college, but she is not in pre-med and went to a less academically rigorous school.

"man, i cant imagine covering those 24 chapters in my AP Chem class this last year, in a mere semester...talk about insane"

For the general sciences, the course are usually broken down into two parts, Chem 60A and Chem 60B for example.

Really it all depends on your major. If your going to have like an English major your life is going to suck because of all the writing.

Great think about college you can set up your own schedule and pick the teachers you want and if you do bad you can always drop it which makes life much easier then in high school.

I could do the same thing in HS?????

college isnt that hard esp if you had ap classes in hs. dont worry too much unless you take all reallly hard classes your first semester you should be fine. by hard i mean: calc 2, chem, bio, stuff like that. i had calc 2 last semester and that was hard but all my other classes werent that bad.
