Yes, another computer engineering question. Oh well. I'm just wondering how hands-on typical CompE classes are. I know it will vary from college to college. I'll be at Missouri University of Sci. and Tech. What types of hands-on stuff do you do, and how much of it? How much of the classes are purely sitting in lecture taking notes on crap?

Most engineering classes have lab portions, so they’re fairly hands on.

For Computer Engineering classes, labs may include physically building basic digital circuits, writing Verilog for processors/memory/caches, writing operating systems, writing compilers, VLSI layout, and using actual FPGA’s and microcontrollers.
