I've heard classes at UT are very hard to learn in and students basically have to teach themselves.

Would you say the teaching quality at LSU honors college makes it easier to learn material and therefore easier to make better grades?

Every class is different. The professors I had in my honors classes were pretty boring. For me, the professors started getting better in my 3rd year/5th semester. At that point all of my classes were the ones that actually mattered for my major, not just some basic calculus or chemistry or AHS.

Absolutely depends on the class. The Honors college classes usually require a fair amount of work, but the teacher’s usually are generous with grades as long as you put in the effort. Some of the big classes require little work and you can do well if you just put some effort into it.

But then there are major specific classes that can be brutal. Thermodynamics for instance is nearly impossible to pass the first time. Economics, even for non-business majors, is challenging. I got an A by about .4% with prior econ experience. 4.0 students get Cs in it. It all depends on the class.
