How hard are Gruber's SAT tests compared to the real thing?

I'm just doing CR sections and I surprisingly did TERRIBLE. No, I don't mean I got like 5 wrong, it was more than 10 .. to put it mildly. Strange thing is, I usually got 700+ in the Blue Book SAT tests.

Are Gruber's CR sections comparable to the real thing? If so, is Gruber's harder or easier?

Considering that Gruber’s tests aren’t made by the ETS, no they are not comparable.

I scored atrociously on the Gruber’s, and I got a 2400. They are much harder and I don’t think they predict your real SAT score.

thank you bigb14! as i realized from the 2 CR sections, the questions were comparatively different than the ones in the BB (of which i completed all 8 tests).

wow geoffreychaucer, that’s impressive (your score).

Not only are Gruber’s inaccurate, they can actually hurt your score by preparing you incorrectly.

Not really… Gruber’s has some great strategies for the math section (it explains the question types very well). As long as you stick with TCB tests, you shouldn’t have a problem.

even the famed xiggi said grubers has good math strategies, but that’s all. but i really have no trouble in math so i guys i can bid grubers goodbye and rely on my bb for the next few days til the test!
