How Hard Are the Sciences Courses

Ok I realize I probably won't be making straight A's if I go to JHU, just because I've heard the cirriculum is pretty difficult. My school has the number one AP program in the state, and I'm taking 5 AP classes and one regular class this year. Comparatively to my high school course load what could I expect in terms of difficulty in achieving decently high grades. I study about 1-3 hours each night except on friday and saturday now, and I have straight A's. So any speculation?

Wow!!! I WISH i went to your schooL!!!

Our school's ranked #21 (in US?) by that one mag [USA Today] and I study/homework 5-7 hours a night, including Fri, and the bulk of the weekends and i'm STILL not getting straight As!! (3 AP/IB, 1 AP, 1 IB, 1 reg)....lucky you!!

Comparatively to MY schoolwork, I found the summer courses at hopkins to be alot BETTER. By better, I mean less busywork and more awesome material to learn! Given, it were only TWO courses per summer (as opposed to like 4 or 5 during the year) it was also extremely condensed, so I guess that balances out. But the material itself is not definitely not impossible (as I did better at hopkins courses than I did at my own high schooL!! haha). You just need to make sure to set priorities straight and have good time management =). Then you can STILL have time for lots of FUN!!

:) Gosh I love JHU!

Hopkins has like no busy work. The sciences are really not that bad its just a high level of study. Except for the intro classes, most courses in general here work with primary sources and encourage the value of the thought process over finding the answer. Thats the hopkins way. Most people dont really complain
