how hard/easy is it to get a 4.0 in your school?

NOBODY (about 120 people per class) in my school gets a 4.0, but I noticed that in many school, everybody in top 10% gets a 4.0.

We are the latter.

Edit:

In my school, A+s count for more than 4, so some people actually finish above a 4.0. Of course, there are different ways to do that, for example,

Some kids get 4.1s or 2 taking all CP OR there was this one girl who had a 4.28 or something in the 4.2s range and took 18 APs.

Weighted hard. unweighted… that’s a different story.

Of the few people who get an UW GPA of 4.0 at my school, they usually take easy classes. For the people in the top 10% who challenge themselves, it all depends on which teachers you end up with.

of course we’re talking unweighted here

Well, my school weights certain classes, so in terms of weighted GPA, some people have above a 4.0.

We don’t weigh. Of my class of about 130, two people have 4.0s. I’m one of them, and I took/am taking 9 APs. The other girl has slightly fewer APs, but yeah. It’s not easy to get a 4.0, and some of our non-AP honors classes are extremely difficult.

Very few people do it. Some idiot GPA-padders come close, though.

I would say that it’s doable at my school but difficult. I would have had a 4.0 except for 3 semester of A-'s in French :/

On the other hand, it’s easier if your school doesn’t count A-'s or considers A+'s to be higher than a 4.0

we have between 2 and 6 every year in a class of 300

Pretty difficult in my school. To be honest, it’s mainly because of the required Art/Music courses that we have to take. And it’s not because they are hard courses (they are rather ridiculously easy), but for some reason - the music and art teacher don’t give out anything higher than a 95. It’s pushing my UW GPA down.

SO MANY people get a 4.0 it’s ridiculous =[ grade inflation is rampant

i’d say that about three people per class pull it off, out of about 100, but we send about 25 to Ivies every year, so I don’t think it’s that easy to get a 4.0

Legitly? 1-none. The other 10-15 people that get it cheat.

Hard.

Lowest A is a 95.

So getting a few wrong on just about anything important can drop you to a B.

No one has a 4.0 GPA in my graduating class (out of 160ish).

It is really hard.
You not only have to be extremely hard working, but also the teachers must literally adore you.
It is really, really hard, probably impossible to get a perfect GPA without cheating or help from teachers.By help, I mean to get an A when deserve a B

Extemely difficult at my school, hence the reason why people who got As last year are struggling to maintain B+s this year. Last year like 3 or 4 people had 4.0s, but junior year always ruins it for everybody :(

Very easy because my school is super duper uncompetitive. But the AP classes are hard since the teachers don’t teach so you have to figure out everything by yourself :(

32 people in my class have a 4.0 or higher. that being said, my school isnt a joke…my classmates are pretty smart.
