Hello guys, I don’t know if this question has been asked already, but I’ll go for it anyways:
I am a current rising sophomore who was eligible to take AP Bio. Like the reckless idiot I can be, I told myself, “How bad could it be?” and requested to take the class. The request to my surprise, was approved. Now I am stressing about the class. I know not all experiences are the same, but I wanted to know a little more about what the class was like. Was the test hard? Was getting an A manageable? Is it manageable for a sophomore to get an A? T_T
My suggestion is to ask students at your school. In my experience it depends on the teacher. A teacher can make a class hard or easier. At our public high school the AP Bio teacher was outstanding but the class was very, very difficult. I’ve heard stories about the same class at other schools where the class was much easier.
@emmal617 Thanks for your question! you are about to take AP Bio but you may be able to find your answer in this recent article from College Confidential, which covered the exam portion in depth. You can read it here: https://insights.collegeconfidential.com/ap-biology-test-tips
How did you do in first year Biology? And your other classes?
Courses can be hard or easy for different types of students.
