How hard is AP Comparative Government?
the test and course

The test itself was really easy. For the FRQ’s as long as you knew the basics, it was very BSable. The class (for me) was pretty easy, not too much writing, didn’t do the reading very much, hard tests though (but that was my teacher).

Easy as hell.

Self-studied, so I can only give you insight on the test. Read the Ethel Wood book everyone here recommends along with the these [briefing papers](Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board) and you’ll be good to go. As pointed out, the FRQs are easy to BS, and if you read the scoring guidelines for past questions on the College Board website, you’ll (hopefully) think to yourself, “wow, I could easily come up with answers like that.” If you’re taking a class, that’ll only help to reinforce everything.

And if you’ve taken/are taking US Government, there’s a good deal of overlap in quite a few key concepts.

Test was easy. Really, I only used the Ethel Wood book (with some supplementary glances at the textbook and briefing papers mentioned above), which I’ve read **more than once/B. My gov course, however, was really hard for me. Then again, can be really easy/enjoyable if you like politics and such. Senioritis hit me the hardest in AP Gov :/

I loved this class, it was a little difficult but also fun to learn about the way government works in different countries. The test I thought seemed very difficult (I didn’t use the Ethel Woods book) but I just did my best and BS’ed on the FRQs I didn’t know. I got a 5.

One of the easiest - Didn’t take the course - self studied and got 5
