I know that this is a very broad question, but for a student at Georgetown College, what is the workload like? I know that each student has different abilities and there is no "average" student, but how much time is generally required to receive A's or B's in a course? Do students often feel stressed out about their workload?

Not sure how much this will help you but I have a friend or two on Facebook that currently attend Georgetown and I’ll often see “LLing” (which is a reference to doing something in Gtown’s Lauinger Library) frequently past 12AM eastern.

Hi. I’m actually a student in the SFS at Georgetown, and as far as the workload in the College is concerned it really depends on the major that you choose. If you choose to major in Government, any intensive foreign language (like Chinese or Arabic), or do Pre-Med you are going to be busy. The comforting fact is that you’re not alone, and Georgetown has some of the best government and language programs in the country, and is highly respected by experts in those fields.

“LLing” stands for lower-levels. its the very bottom level of the library that has no windows and is dead silent. its when you really wanna get work done.

as far as the course load, i think its pretty decent. its definitely not easy, a lot of reading to keep up with. it does depend on ur classes, but overall i think its harder than high school, and i took 5 ap’s senior year. just to give you some reference to how hard high school was

It’s only been my first semester, but it was probably similar to the work at my (above-average, but not excellent) public high school. I think my international relations class and Spanish classes were hard, but with the amount of procrastinating and going out that I did…I imagine IR could have been a lot easier. For the most part, I wasn’t stressed; it seems to be an appropriate workload - not too much, but not a breeze.
