How hard is getting As as a Biology Major at NYU?

I'm going into NYU as a Biology major, and since I am going into the pre-med / pre-dental track, I was wondering how difficult it is to get a gpa of 3.5 or higher.

I've never heard about NYU's science classes, so if current bio/ any science / pre-med students can post about it that'd be great!
is there a lot of competition? grade deflation?
bad / good professors?
class sizes..?
long, long labs?

Most pre med paths have standard weeding classes. bio, chem, orgo and such. The classes are 200 student lectures for the entry courses unless you are in honors where the class size is a bit smaller (think 40-50). There are some long labs but most are manageable and you can take it on friday (most people dont have class fridays) or saturday.

With each entry premed course, you need to also register for a lab and clinic course. Clinics is just a review class where you go over homework and review everything you’ve learned at the lectures in much smaller classrooms (15-20).

A lot of it comes down to doing all the work, doing all the homework and studying enough before the exams, and doing well on the exam. Its harder to do that in college since you have so much free time and it is easy to get lazy and fall off.
