well I can tell you guys that my freshmen grade is HORRIBLE like GPA is 2.x :/
However I managed to pull my GPA for sophomore to 3.2 and my junior year GPA was 4.4 with 2 honors classes (english / math ) now I am gonna be a senior who will be taking 5 APs and considering that I had 2100 + SAT score and 700 + SAT II scores and also good recs/essay........... Do I have a chance for UT-A?

I wish to major in biomedical engineering... how is it in UT-A?

I don't know about your chances of getting into UTA as an out-of-stater, but I can answer your question about the biomedical engineering.

Taken from tanman in the engineering majors forum:

"I'm going to be a BME freshman at Hopkins next year and I considered UT so I can answer that part of your question. The UT BME undergrad program is fairly new. They won't graduate their first senior class till the end of the next academic year. However, they're still ranked 15th in the nation by USNWR (the validity of ratings in general is questionable, but still, thats impressive). Also, when I visited other colleges and met with BME people there, the general consensus was that the UT BME undergrad program will be one of the top ones in the near future."
