From Letters and Science to Engineering for instance.

To go from L&S to HSSEAS (Engineering), you have to take (at UCLA, so AP credits or transfer credit won’t satisfy this) at least two of the required math classes (31A, 31B, 32A, 32B, 33A, 33B) and two of the other “major prep” courses. So courses like Chem 20A, 20B, 20L, Physics 1A, 1B, 1C, etc. would satisfy that. And if you want CS or CS&E, one of your two major prep courses must be either Computing 10A or CS 31. CS 31 is restricted to HSSEAS majors only, so the only way you’d be able to get in to that class is with a PTE number. But L&S students can take Comptng 10A. You must get at least a 3.5 GPA in the math/major prep courses to be considered.

So wait, if I’m admitted to Letters and Science currently, I can just take all the required pre major classes and end up the same right? So I didn’t screw myself over by applying to L&S instead of HSSEAS?
