How hard is it? I realize its pretty tough if your not at a target school for a top firm but what about other mid tier schools, I.E Penn State, maryland , Uconn, Texas, Etc?

Why do you think IBankers are paid 100,000 starting and possibly up to 1 million after 10 years in the industry.

Is it because it's easy to get into the industry and these IBankers are easily substituable?? Please review your economics 100 course.

(Entry level) Bankers are easy to replace.

im asking how hard is it to break into it, i know its tough if your not at a target school for a big firm, what about mid size

why would you care that you make 200000 when you are working 100 hours a week, dont see your family and friends and are a total slave to the corporate ********...hope you like "business" lunches...lol

jimmyjones is right

Texas actually has a number of top firms (Top IBs, top boutiques) who come for recruiting, even the Blackstone Group has posted an internship listing for the january recruiting season.

As for the other schools, just find out who recruits there (go ask on their message boards). If no IBs recruit there then things become very difficult, but if there is lower tier IBs/Regioal IBs who recruit there then you'll be in luck

thanks man
