im just wondering because my family will be barely able to pay for my college... i have stats and stuff for you to see if that is a factor

Unless you have near perfect SATs and are in the top 5% nearly impossible. Read the received scholarship thread. A lot of people with amazing stats only got 2500 a year. Maybe you will get loans or grants to help out though depending on your EFC

My D received the Presidential Scholarship. I believe you must have SATs above 1500 (M & CR) and be in the top 5% of your class.

I’m in-state with a 1790 SAT score and received a full scholarship. (Well, it was a bunch of grants and one small loan) for $26,000. In-state tuition is ~$23,000. So, I guess I’m covered. Only problem is that it technically doesn’t have my major. :(

Going by the people who post on these boards, the Presidential Scholarship seems to be based primarily on class rank ( at least top 5%) and SAT (over 1500/2200). I would also recommend applying ASAP to maximize your chances.

oh okay thanks guys im rank 22/700 and 2260 sat in state i already applied a while back and was accepted and received the presidential scholarship… i will not be attending in the fall as i was accepted to duke… im just asking cos my bro who is currently a sophy is beginning to look into college

NJ Mom of 2 - Has your D decided to attend Rutgers and will she be in the Honors Program? Or, where else is she considering? My D received the same and I am trying to find out anything I can about the Honors Program.
