How hard is it to get a scholarship to UT if I'm OOS?

So, how hard is it to get a scholarship if you're OOS. I live in Michigan and I know I will have no problem getting into UM. I want to major in business, so I think I will apply to Texas' honors business program. How hard is it to get a fairly big scholarship (like $10,000-$20,000/yr)?

If you are a National Merit Scholar, I think they will probably offer you in-state tuition, which is like a scholarship for an out of state student. We have heard this is something they have done in the past, but it does not appear to be a policy written down anywhere.

For a full ride? Pretty much impossible. Even getting in to Business Honors OOS or in state is hard, and a scholarship is pretty much impossible.

The best you will get is instate tuition, but the weather is nicer in Austin.

Your best bet is the out-of-state tuition waiver, which would be cheaper than going to UM. And Austin is a better city than Ann Arbor. There’s nothing to do in A2 except drinking. Even for McCombs MBA, the max award is $10,000, which isn’t even half-tuition. I don’t know anyone with full tuition scholarship, even with perfect SATs. The Cockrell Scholarship for Engineering’s pay out is only $18K over 4 years (2002-2006),
