How hard is it to get into Blinn Team?

I've been waitlisted, but I dunno if I can get in through that, either. After checking around on these threads and seeing others with higher stats than me getting waitlisted...it's slightly discouraging. Then of course, there's the SCHOLARSHIPS and stuff....so stressful.
Anyways, back to the topic. I'm wondering how hard it is to get into the Blinn Team Program. It seems to be my best bet for getting in. GPA is like 3.0, 27 on ACT, I'm automatically considered as the top 25% since I'm homeschooled...I've got all three essays, good community service, and a lot of achievements through JROTC as well as extra curriculars (before I was...pretty much forced to do homeschooling).

Also, any advice is appreciated. Oh...and I'm out of state......but only by a few miles, jeez...

i think they offer blinn team to about 500 kids.

i think they offered waitlist/blinn team options to 7000. probably half will accept. so that is 3500 kids wanting either acceptance or blinn team. i think last year they accepted maybe 250 from waitlist. add the 500 for blinn team. so maybe 750 of the 3500 will get a either accepted or blinn team … so about 20%.

and f you didn’t get it yet … you probably arent getting any scholarships.

they give some money to tippy top kids and pretty much nothing to everyone else.

If I were you, scholarships would be the last thing I worried about. Waitlist chances are probably not ideal, but blinn team is always a nice option if TAMU is where you want to be.

Alright, thanks for the info.

unless you were the guy that was thinking about joining the corps. you might get some $$ that way.

Yeah, I am that guy…cept I’ma girl, haha. But yeah, do you know if the Corps scholarships are any good? I heard from someone that they’re pretty solid but I dunno if they really knew what they were talking about. Hopefully that’ll pull through, though.

Almost every freshman in the corps gets at least a $1000 per year scholarship. There are some that are much higher, but are also much harder to receive.

idk much about corps scholarships.

are you in state?

all i know is that one of my friends sons joined the corps and she said they just kept throwing money at him.

but … he quit the corps after ONE DAY! gaaah!

so idk. might be worth looking into.

Alright, cool. Thanks.
